The difference

A wishlist knows what you want. Our Trove also knows what you have.

Ordinary lists work until someone chooses a thoughtful off-list gift—or buys something that is already in the playroom. Our Trove connects gift coordination to the family's owned catalog.

Typical gift list

  • Shows listed ideas
  • May prevent two guests from buying the same listed item
  • Cannot answer whether an off-list gift is already owned

Our Trove Gift Lists

  • Combines ideas, party context, and private claims
  • Checks off-list gifts against selected owned collections
  • Adds received gifts back to the catalog for next time

How it works

From the first idea to the next duplicate check.

  1. 01

    Create the occasion

Start a birthday or holiday list, add the recipient and event date, then choose which owned collections guests can check.

  2. 02

    Add useful context

Share ideas, product links, interests, sizes, price guidance, and anything the family would rather avoid.

  3. 03

    Share one private link

Guests can claim ideas, mark purchases, or coordinate an off-list gift without creating an account.

  4. 04

    Close the loop

After the celebration, review purchased gifts and add the ones you keep directly to the owned catalog.

Private enough for family details. Easy enough for guests.

Gift Lists are unlisted and accessible through a private link. Coordinators can reset or revoke that link, and optional giver details stay hidden from other guests.

FAQ

Before you share your first list.

Do gift-list guests need an Our Trove account?

No. Anyone with the private link can view the list, claim an idea, and run an off-list duplicate check without signing up.

Can guests see who claimed a gift?

Guests can see that an idea is covered, but optional giver names and email addresses are visible only to the list coordinator.

Are Gift Lists public?

No public profile or searchable list is created. Access is through an unlisted private link that the coordinator can reset or turn off.

What happens when someone wants to buy something off-list?

They can search the owned collections selected for that list and see whether the family already has a matching item before they claim or purchase it.
